Evolution According to Torah

Torah and science cannot be in conflict.

Darwin: evolution of newer more complex species from older simpler species
Species: A group of individual animals that can breed successfully.
Darwin: These changes did not happen by pure chance, there was a Guiding Hand. 

They didn’t know about genes.  Micro-evolution is a fact (resistance to antibiotics).
Aristotle: Universe has no beginning and no end

Big Bang: 14 billion years; Earth, 4 billion.
Organism need to develop. That only gives you a million years.
Evolution is now problematic.

Problem: Not one experiment to prove or disprove macro-evolution.
Even if it occurs in a lab, that doesn’t prove it actually happened.

Aug. 15, 2005: Time Magazine:
Southern Baptist: This is what the Bible says, period.
Psychologist from Harvard: Evolution is a fact, not a theory.
Molecular Biologist: I don’t have a problem with evolution, if G-d wanted to do it that way that’s fine by me.
Scientist: I have no religious qualms about evolution. My problem is based in science.

Intelligent design.
Problem: it’s not a scientific theory. It’s a belief.
How many people believe in Moses? How many believe that Methuselah lived 969 years?

Process:
In science you always have to wait till tomorrow.
Variables.
Dead Sea going backwards.
World begins old-looking.
Observer changes reality.
